Yuh Suhn is an attorney and the firm's Estate Administrator, responsible for all aspects of estate administration. She joined BSD&D in 2005, and was formerly an attorney for UAW-GM Legal Services, where she served in that capacity for 7 years and handled several hundred estates. Her practice also includes guardianships, the preparation of estate tax returns, gift tax returns, trust funding, drafting trust pleadings to modify revocable and irrevocable trusts, conservatorships and contested matters involving capacity issues, drafting issues, objections to inventories and accountings, and breaches of fiduciary duty. Yuh Suhn is a 1996 graduate of the Detroit College of Law at MSU, Cum Laude. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Macomb County Probate Bar Association and the Wayne County Probate Bar Association.

Representative Experience

Analysis of complex financial and accounting documents.

Prepared federal estate tax returns for trusts involving large estates involving a complete review of trust assets, and post-death tax planning.

Successfully obtained a judgment against a fiduciary who misappropriated funds from a probate estate resulting in liens against real property individually owned by the fiduciary.

Significant experience in drafting pleadings and accountings involving complex estates and trusts for court review and approval.
